Mary Coleman, CH, NGH Ireland Chapter Member in Good Standing
Mary Coleman is a certified consulting hypnotist, former national teacher and primary school principal, now retired. I have a Diploma in Social Studies from UCC.
My many and varied interests have benefited me in my years as a teacher and continue to do so in my hypnotherapy, which is akin to teaching.
As a voluntary worker in my local community I’ve had a long association with Muintir na Tíre, the national community development organization, and I spent many happy years as an executive member of its local unit, Tipperary Community Council. Through this, and with the support of the VEC and a diligent team of volunteer teachers, I established an Adult Literacy Scheme in Tipperary Town. For over 20 years I was secretary of Tipperary Social Service Committee. Through Muintir na Tire, Tipperary Community Council piloted and pioneered the concept of community radio (of the people, by the people and for the people) and set up Tipperary Community Radio (TCR). I was a member of the steering committee and also presented two weekly programmes – one for children and a bilingual programme for adults. My involvement in radio benefited my pupils also as I was in a position to record school dramas and concerts and broadcast them on radio.
Since childhood I’ve had a love of the Irish language, as well as our traditional music and dance and the Kerry Gaeltacht is my spiritual home.
In today’s world many people feel stressed and overburdened by experiences and demands in their lives. My desire is to help people to help themselves and I know that this can be achieved through hypnosis. Through the art of self hypnosis you can learn to relax and restore the balance in your life. It is possible for you to easily change your mindset and move towards being your full potential self.
Go well and be well,
Mary Coleman
